167 More Firms Nationalised (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) DJAKARTA, December 1. The Indonesian Government has nationalised 167 mining and industrial firms, Antara news agency reported today. Several of the nationalised firms were Dutch-owned the news agency added.
The Government announced the nationalisation was “in the interest of continuation of the functions of production apparatuses, and in order to prevent unhealthy developments,” according to Antara.
