Bengal Death Roll Now 51
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) CALCUTTA, December 1. The death roll in the blast of an explosives store at Jamuira, West Bengal, yesterday, has risen to 51, according to British United Press. Many of the victims were in a crowded bus which was in front of the store when the explosion occurred.
The cause of the explosion has still not been determined, but unconfirmed reports said it was caused by a lighted cigarette.
