FITTER FINED AT AUCKLAND
Car Registration Papers Forged (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec. 2. Rodney John King, aged 24, fitter, of 90 Duke street. Mount Roskill, was fined £l5 in the Magistrate’s Court at Auckland today and admitted to probation for 18 months on a charge of forgery in making out a certificate of registration of a motorvehicle He was also appearing for sentence on a charge of false pretences, and was fined £lO with costs 30s. Mr C. Astley, S.M., told King he was fortunate to escape a term of imprisonment. The forgery charge showed a degree of criminal intention, as it was done with the idea of making money under false representation. #
