SALVATION ARMY PROMOTION
The Salvation Army headquarters in Christchurch received a telegram on Sunday from the territory commander, LieutenantCommander R. S. Harewood, informing it of the promotion of senior major Jabez Allott to the rank of brigadier. For more than 30 years Brigadier J. Allott has been an officer and for the last eight years has ’ been at the Salvation Army social centre at Addington.
