Blue Whales
Sir, —With blue whales in our waters, have we not a responsibility to protest about their threatened extinction? Dr. Falla years ago drew attention to depredation reducing their numbers swiftly. Petitions for protection of human rights are signed. Are we unanimous in defence of “this marvel of nature” so near our shores and ready to give aid in spite of the failing of the London conference to secure it?—Yours, etc., IN PERSPECTIVE. December 1, 1959.
