COLOURED HAIR

Showing In Square

Eight models with green, lilac, pink, burgundy, blue, bronze, black and white hair—with poodles to match—will parade through Cathedral Square this afternoon to advertise a showing of hair styles, jewellery and furs to be held at the Mayfair Lounge this evening in aid of the Parents’ Centre.

Twenty-one different hair styles will be shown, including the new geisha, swan line and ‘‘mia bella” styles. These feature hair high on top and sweeping down the cheeks, pouffed up at the back. The models will appear with their hair in pin curls. Hairdressers will style it in front of the audience. Mink capes and diamonds, specially flown from Wellington to complement the various styles, will be modelled by the mannequins. A transformation “before and after" make-up exhibition will be given during the evening.
