Two Killed By Explosion

A businessman and his milliner wife died in a mystery explosion in the exclusive Melbourne suburb of Toorak last night. They were found dead in the kitchen, holding hands, and seated in easy chairs near a gas stove.
The explosion blew out windows, lifted ceilings, and tore doors off their hinges inside the house, and rocked homes in the neighbourhood. The dead couple were Mr John Taylor, aged about 55. and Mrs Elizabeth Taylor. aged about 50. • Mr Taylor was a Melbourne exporter, and his wife ran a millinery salon in Toorak village. They emigrated from Austria in 1939. Detectives have taken possession of some typewritten papers they found in the house.
