Miss Gigi Fractures Sesamoid Bones

The promising filly, Miss Gigi, broke two sesamoid bones while galloping at Randwick today and her racing career is finished. Miss Gigi had raced three times for a win at Rosehill and . seconds at Canterbury and Rosehill. George Moore was to have ridden Miss Gigi in the Two-year-old Graduation Stakes at Rosehill next Saturday. Moore was riding Miss Gigi when she broke down today. He said the filly was galloping brilliantly in a three furlong trial and was about to pass two other horses when he felt her falter.
