BOYS’ BRIGADE
19th Company’s Display Ninety-three proficiency certificates and badges were presented to 24 boys by Mrs J. L. Bush (wife of the company captain) at the second annual inspection and display of the 19th Christchurch Company of the Boys’ Brigade. The company ig attached to St. Stephen’s Presbyterian church, Bryndwr and the display was held in the Sunday school hall before a large gathering of friends arid relatives.
Squad drill, physical (raining and wand drill, along with team games were presented. Two n.c.o.’s gave a demonstration of morse signalling. The inspecting officer (Mr C. Cross) headmaster of Burnside High School, congratulated the boys on their smartness and discipline. The company’s chaplain (the Rev. D. G. Shaw) conducted the opening and closing devotions.
