BIG-GAME FISHING CONTEST

Overseas Entries For N.Z. Fixture (New Zealand Press Association) WHANGAREI, December 1. Two teams from South Australia and one each from Queensland and Hawaii have already been nominated for the world big-game fishing contest to be held in New Zealand next March. It is expected that the United States, Mexico and South Africa •will each send one or more teams. Hawaii is also likely to make further entries. Although entries were to have closed officially last night the New Zealand Big-game Fishing Council is not likely to apply a closure until some time nearer to contest time. Each of the five New Zealand clubs will nominate at least one team. The size of the field will not be known until later. It will be restricted to the number of boats available, and some New Zealand teams could be ballotted out, as the widest geographical representation possible is desired.
