MINOR FIRES
A washhouse and part of a kitchen at 686 Gloucester street were damaged by a fire started by a spark from a copper. The property is occupied by Mr L. C. Ambrose. The damage was not extensive. The fire began about 9.30 a.m. yesterday and was attended by units from the Central and Woolston brigades.
- An oven fire at the home of Dorothy Jemmett, at 15 Godley avenue. Papanui. was attended by one unit from the St Albans brigade about noon.
Another oven fire at the home of Natalie J. Ford, at 13 Nalden place, was extinguished by a unit from the Woolston station at 3.41 p.m.
