Plans For Dual Acceptors

Plans for several double acceptors at the .Blenheim meeting became clearer yesterday afternoon. Harkville has been scratched from the Redwood High-weight and will start in the Watts Hack Handicap; Kent. another starter in the Watts Handicap, has been scratched from the Riley Hack Handicap: and Awatere, a starter in the Riley Handicap, has been scratched from the Watts Handicap. Courageous Son has been scratched from the Watts Handicap and will start in the Clifiord Trial Plate.

Several others are not yet definite scratchings. These include Last Link and Mozart, whose connexions have indicated a preference for the Richardson Hack Handicap, and Nolibelle, a probable starter in the Redwood High-weight. Pleasant Ways and Kalinita will probably race twice. Other double acceptors include Prince Delaware, Tickled Pink and Nardus. Plans for these will be made in the niorning.

All the open company horses which accepted for both legs of the main double have now been scratched from the first leg, the Marlborough Centennial Cup. Appreciate and Desert Cloud will race in the Weld Handicap, but Kirkiea is a scratching from this event, also. Gay Tommy, Cruising and Compensate will race in the cup. They have been scratched from • the Weld Handicap.
