A.M.P. FIRE’S FIRST FEAR

A successful first year of operations is reported by the A.M.P. Fire and General Insurance Company. Mr H. M. Collie, New Zealand manager of the A.M.P., said yesterday that 6203 policies had been written since the company started on November 3, 1958. Gross annual premiums were £55,120. “Perhaps the most interesting feature of the results is the rate of expansion,” said- Mr Collie. “In the first six months, 1992 policies for £15,029 were written, while in the second six months these figures were moYe than doubled with 4211 policies for £40,091.”
