ITINERARY FOR N.S.W. TEAM
11 Games In Tour Of South Island Wy it; - . ’ (From Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON, November 20. Hie itinerary of the New South Wales country team’s tour of the South Island next year was approved at today’s meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Union’s council. The team is due to arrive in Christchurch on July 5 and it will play its first match, against Marlborough, four days later. The itinerary is: July 9, v. MarHxirough; July 13, v. Nelson; July? 16. v. Golden Bav-Motueka; July 20. v. Buller; July 23. v. West Coast; July 27. v. MidCanterbury; July 30. v. Otago; August 3, y. Southland; August fl, v. North Otago; August .10, v. South Canterbury; August 13, v. Canterbury. The only change in this itinerary could be an alteration of days for the West Coast and Buller games. Mr W. A. Craddock said he thought Buller had once given way to West Coast for a Saturday game against the Maoris and he understood the arrangement with the West Coast was that Buller should have the next Saturday game. The day allocated Buller for this tour is a It was left to the Buller and West Coast unions to come to an arrangement over the playing
days. The team will consist of 22 players and will pay its own fares to and from New Zealand.
Each union will either billet or arrange and pay for accommodation for the team, and will pay the usual match expenses and a proportion of the travelling arrangements. After these expenses' are met the unions will retain the nett proceeds from gate receipts.
