ADVERTISING OF LIQUOR ON TV
Methodists To Seek Ban (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, November 12. The advertising of liquor should be prohibited from commercial television if it is introduced, the Methodist Conference decided today. The resolution is to be conveyed to the Minister in charge of Broadcasting (Mr Boord) with the request that in the public interest the featuring of alcoholic drinking in ordinary television programmes be kept to a minimum. i The conference expressed concern over the application for a liquor licence at Christchurch ,airport X
