(New Zealana Press Association) WELLINGTON, November 11.
A new lighting system costing £14,000 will bring a new look to the limestone caves at Waitomo and reveal beauties in the formations that had not been seen properly before, according to a statement from the Tourist Hotel Corporation today. The new system has been completed in the Ruakuri cave, and installation in the Aranui and Waitomo ' caves should be completed by the end of March. There will be no dramatic coloured effects .in the new system, although colour may be retained in some places in the Aranui cave. The whole project has been designed to ■ show the stalagmites and stalactites to their best natural advantage.
