CHARLESTON FIRE BURNT OUT

Petrol Storage Tank Destroyed (N.Z. Press Association—CoiHinqht) CHARLESTON (South Carolina). October 2. A 2.000.000-gallon petrol storage tank, for 24 hours a roaring mass of flames, burned down to a blackened, buckled hulk today with tongues of flames still crackling about it. Nine persons were injured in the pre-dawn explosion yesterday. Authorities said the cause of the blast was still undetermined. All nine casualties were negro residents of three small houses demolished by the explosion.
