The stand was filled to capacity and nost of the seats on the embanknent were occupied. At the saluting base were also the presidents of the associations affiliated to the centre. Thirty-four teams took part in the march past. Some teams did not parade because their costumes were not ready. It is expected there will be approximately 40 teams affiliated to the centre this season. The weather was fine but the cold easterly wind made conditions unpleasant for those who were unable to sit within the shelter of the stand. After the march past the public was entertained by the Metropolitan Highland Pipe Band while the members of the teams of the Metropolitan Marching Association prepared for a maze march. Four midget teams gave a march plan display. A joint display was given by members of the Rochdale and Perfection junior teams.
