Three N.Z. Wins In Sydney
Meadowlands. General Scott and Craig Hanover were New Zealandbred pacers to win at Harold Park, Sydney, last week. Meadowlands (Medoro—Scottish Fancy) was bred by E. D. Johnson at Leeston. He started at 2 to 1 and gained a decisive win over the North Canterbury-owned Royal Guest (Worthy Monarch—Harvest Gleam), which started at 15 to 1. General Scott, which was bred at Orari by J. M. Connolly, won the Harold Park Handicap. He is a six-year-old stallion bv U. Scott from Imperial Volo. He started at 9 to 1 and beat the 9 to 10 favourite. Correlate, by a long neck.
Craig. Hanover (Lucky Hanover— Admiration) beat Great Wyn and the Te Kuiti-owned Anya in the Petersham Handicap. He started at 2 to 1 and Anya at 5 to 2.
