Two Positive Swabs Five Years Ago
“The Press" Special Service MATAMATA, October 2. The recent finding of two positive twab reactions at the New Brighton Trotting Club's September meeting ' on September 19 was not unique, as claimed. Almost five years ago the Auckland Racing Club's mid-spring meeting resulted in Cutlass, winner of the hurdles, and Dynamite, winner of the Alison Cup. losing their races as the result of positive swabs. This was relatively early in the New Zealand Racing Conference's anti-doping campaign.
