Engineers To Advise Government
(New Zealand Press Association) ROTORUA, September 24.
The skill and knowledge of engineers of the electrical supply authorities should be placed at the service of the Government in an advisory capacity, said Mr L. R. Waygood, of the Auckland Electric Power Board, in moving the adoption of a remit to the annual conference of the Electrical Supply Authorities Association in Rotorua today. The remit, approved by the conference, stated that the association offered the Minister of Electricity the services of a technical committee comprising members serving with electrical supply authorities in both islands to assist the Government in its proposals for increasing the generation of power.
