Town Hall Fund
Sir, —How disappointing it is to hear of the number of refusals the women of Christchurch are meeting in their efforts for the town hall “vanishing tea party” fund. Normally people gather together and enjoy the company of their friends at morning, afternoon, or evening functions. Why show this apathy now when such a worthy cause is involved? Hostesses would appreciate more willing co-opera-tion. To those who love Christchurch it seems a small effort towards its future.—Yours, etc, HOSTESS. September 22, 1959.
