Committees Elect Officers (New Zealand Press Association) ROTORUA, September 23.

Mr P. Dowse, of Hutt Valley, was today re-elected chairman of the executive committee of the New Zealand Electric Power Boards’ Association at the annual conference in Kotorua.

Mr A. A. Powell, of Waikato, was elected secretary. Other members are Messrs N. C. Chambers (Hawke’s Bay), C. C. Knight (South Canterbury), E. A. Lucas (Marlborough). R. Masters (Taranaki), H. T. Metherell (North Canterbury) and R. N. White (Waikato). Associate members elected were Messrs H. Wylie (Hawke’s Bay, secretaries) and C. L. Walters (Central Waikato, engineers). Engineers’ Conference

Mr C. M. Gray, of the Waitemata Electric Power Board, was elected president of the Electric Supply Authority Engineers’ Institute at the annual conference also held at Rotorua. Other officers elected were: Vice-presidents, Messrs G. H. Battersbv (Christchurch Municipal Electricity Department) and A. G. P. Holloway (Wellington City Council); Executive, Messrs N. A. Andrews (Waimea Electric Power Board), S. R. Anstice (Dunedin City Council), T. E. Kelly (Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Board), M. G. Keys (Auckland Electric Power Board), W. M. E. Irams (Taranaki Electric Power Board) and C. L. Walter (Central Waikato Electric Power Board).

The following past-presidents remain ex-officio members of the executive: Messrs A. Buckingham (North Canterbury Electric Power Board), H. G. Kemp (Ashburton Electric Power Board), F. Mathewson (Poverty Bay Electric Power Board), N. A. Davidson (Waitaki Electric Power Board), H. B. Keenan (Wairarapa Electric Power Board) and R. D. Vetich (immediate past-president, Timaru). Secretaries Meet Mr N. M. Speer, a former general manager of the Auckland Electric Power Board, was elected a life member of the Secretaries’ Association of the Electrical Supply Authorities Association of New Zealand at the conclusion of the section conference yesterday. The following officers were elected:

President, Mr H. E. Mcßain (Hutt Valley); vice-president, Mr J. Denford (Christchurch); representatives on the Local Bodies’ Institute, Messrs J. A. Longbottom (Auckland), G. E. Russell (Centra) Waikato); executive committee, Messrs G. A. Ammundsen (Wanganui-Rangitikei), A. M Campbell (Otago), A. S. Don (Auckland), D. J. Boswell (Central Hawke’s Bay), G. S. Russell and P. G. Smith (Waitemata).
