More Than 700 Entries
There were more than 700 entries m the New Brighton Horticultural Society's annual spring show held on the society's twenty-fifth anniversary last Saturday. Special features included a display of flowering shrubs by the reserves department of the Christchurch City Council, a < photography display and a jubilee section lor a decoration suitable for a dinner table. Results:— Daffodils (Judge: Mr S. W. Gower.) Open: D. McHill, 5 firsts, 2 seconds. 1 third; S. A. Harris, 2 firsts, 1 second.' 2 thirds. Amateur.—D. Hill. 7 firsts, 8 seconds, t> thirds: L.
