Badminton N.Z. CHANCES IN ÜBER CUP
(Neto Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 23. The non-playing captain. Miss N. Fleming, was quietly optimistic today about New Zealand's chances in the approaching Über Cup badminton match with Australia. Miss Fleming assessed her team’s chances as "very good—although there won't be much in it. Our girls are very keen to win. and after a few practices together should be ready to take on the Australians.”
A win on Saturday would give New Zealand the opportunity to compete in tne zone finals in the United States later this year. The New Zealand Badminton Federation has the cost of the trip—about £2ooo— in hand, in the event of success.
