Sprint Event At Auckland “The Press” Special Service AUCKLAND. September 18. Caricature, an impressive winner at the matinee held last Saturday, will be stiongly supported to win tlie Takanmi Handicap, the sprint race on the opening night of the Auckland Trotting Club's September meeting at Alexandra Park Raceway tonight Caricature, the winner of four races last season, is expected to develop sound form this term. Damian, which will be driven by L J Mahoney, and the Welling-ton-owned Scottish Command are expected to offer most opposition to the Tamahere-owned and trained five-yeai-old. The double will be run on the September Handicap and the Second United Handicap. Weather prospects are fair, and the shell track is expected to be hard and fast.
