NINE SECTIONS ALLOCATED
Ballot By Crown Lands
Office
The successful applicants out of 27 for nine sections in Christchurch, Timaru and Akaroa were decided by ballot at the office of the Lands and Survey Department yesterday. Prices for the sections ranged from £ J uO for a Riccarton section to £9OO for one on Memorial avenue.
The successful applicants were: Messrs J. P. Hanifin (returned serviceman, Timaru), F. L. N. Corey (serviceman, Hoon Hay road), F. W. Ceelen (Memorial avenue), H. Archbold (Akaroa), R. Wiggins (Prestons road), R. S. Gormack (Memorial avenue), M J. Donnelly (Prestons road), T. K. Lawson (Timaru), and J. J. M. Hilgeholt (Curletts road. The returned servicemen had their sections allocated without ballot
