Aggressive Wins At Canterbury
SYDNEY, August 26.
The New Zealand stayer. Aggressive, scored a plucky win in the First Novice Handicap at Canterbury today. He beat Nyroca by half a head in a photo finish, and Tenebrae was third, threequarters of a length away. Aggressive, which now has won his last four starts, looked beaten half-way down the straight when strongly challenged by Nyroca. Nyroca poked his head in front inside the last furlong, but Aggressive came again to win by inches. Ridden by the leading jockey, J. Thompson, he started favourite at 11/8 against.
