Board Expresses Appreciation
Anpreciation of the work by skilled and unskilled tradesmen on the building of Princess Marcaret Hospital and nurseS’ home was recorded yesterday bv the North Canterbury Hospital Board The planning of the hospital began 12 years ago, said Mr T. M Ayers (chairman of the works committee). The work on the building had been trouble-free, which had given satisfaction to the board.
“I hope it won't be long before we get the green light to go ahead with the completion of the hosnital. ’ said Mr Ayers. “Because of the growth of Canterbury, we have to push ahead."
The board had been very well served by the contractors and the 84 sub-contractors and the many men employed by them, said the chairman (Dr. I. C. L. Averill).
