Situation.—An intense anti-cyclone covers the Tasman Sea, and a south-westerly airstream covers the New Zealand area. Forecast:— Canterbury.—Fresh south-westerlies this morning in exposed coastal areas, but winds otherwise moderate and variable: some showers on Banks Peninsula, but weather otherwise fair; cool temperatures. Outlook: fair. West Coast and Nelson.—Light to moderate variable winds; weather fair to fine; temperatures moderate. Outlook: fair. Marlborough.—Moderate to fresh southerlies on the coast and moderate variable winds inland; weather fair, apart from isolated coastal showers; cool temperatures. Outlook: fair.
