KINDERGARTEN TEACHERS
Two representatives from Christchurch, Misses M. T. Dalton and M- Partridge, are attending the sixth Dominion executive meeting of the New Zealand Free Kindergarten Teachers' Association. which is being held at the Wellington training centre. The chairman of the meeting is Miss P. M. Varcoe, of Dunedin, and there are 14 delegates from remaining districts. The Assistant Director of Education (Mr O. E. Cambell) will address the delegates and members of the association. Branch associations will present their reports, and remits dealing with salaries, appointments. the functioning of kindergartens, professional status, and reports from sub-committees will be discussed.
Four post-graduate bursaries were awarded this year to Mrs B. Cosson, studying at Auckland University, Misses J. Pedley and J. Dowker, who are at Victoria University, and Miss P. Varcoe. at Otago.
