TRANSVAAL TOUR
Miller Drops Out Of Team

The former Australian test cricketer. K. R. Miller, had “broken down." and would not captain the combined team to tour the Transvaal, later this year, the team manager 'Mr R A. Roberts) said last night. A captain to replace him had not yet been chosen.
Mr Roberts said Miller told him yesterday that he felt he could not now stand up to hard three-day matches against firstclass opposition. Mr Roberts said 1. D. Craig, R Simpson, J. Philpott, and possibly B. Dooland and L. Maddocks, as well as the New Zealander B Sutcliffe, and the West Indian R. Marshall, would be in the team The final selection would be made when it was known who was in the M.C.C. team to tour the West Indies.
Miller pulled a calf muscle while playing for the M.C.C. against Cambridge University recently and last week-end suffered back trouble while playing m another match. Both were twoday games.
