Officer Embarrassed
A traffic officer who drove a man to the police station in his old model car, after stopping him on suspicion of being drunk in charge of the vehicle, said in the Magistrate's Court' that he was "quite embarrassed” during the trip because of a short in the wiring system. When the wheel was turned the horn sounded - “ The car wa s in shocking condition,” he said, “and every time I turned the wheel and the horn sounded other cars would move over to the side of the road.”
