OTAGO BEATS WANGANUI

(New Zealana Press Association) WANGANUI. August 23. Otago beat Wanganui, 29-9, in a Rugby match at Spriggens Park on Saturday. For Otago tries were scored by T. Jobson. V. Lloys. W. Gillespie. E. S. Diack and J. Hotpp. Diack converted four of these and also kicked two penalty goals. For Wanganui S. Crawshaw kicked two penalty goals and J. Wallace, a field goal. Otago led 20-3 at half-time Hotop and Bachelor were outstanding in the back line of the Otago team. Irwin, Conway and Gillesnie were prominent in the forwards Otago's first five-eighths. W. Edwards, suffered a nose Injury in the first few minutes of the match, and was replaced by Hotop.
