INQUIRY AT ADDINGTON
After the Winter Handicap at Addington on Saturday objection was lodged against the second placing of Supervise, which was driven by R. Young, on the grounds of interference to Indianna, driven by H. S. Donaldson, at the straight entrance.
After hearing the evidence of the patrol steward (Mr J. H. Lang), Donaldson, J. S. Le Lievre, the driver of Beau Clair, and Young it was found that Supervise caused interference and the
horse was disqualified from second. Ordeal was promoted to second, Durban Chief to third, and Worthy Boy to fourth. It was found that Young was guilty of careless driving causing interference and his horseman’s licence was suspended for one month.
Twinkle Hall was a late scratching for the National Handicap. The float bringing her to the course broke down and she did not arrive in time.
