ST. JOHN CADETS
Holiday Programme Arranged
Visits to factories, a bicycle trip to New Brighton and a tramp over the Port Hills are part of a four-day school holiday programme arranged by the St. John Ambulance Brigade, for about 250 Christchurch ambulance cadets.
The boys, divided into age groups, will tramp over the Port Hills today, and visit a soft drink factory and newspaper office and attend a film evening tomorrow On Wednesday they will have a bicycle trip to New Brighton. That has been arranged in conjunction with the City Council’s traffic department. In the afternoon the boys will hold a sports meeting.
Thursday, the last day of the programme, will be devoted to visits to Christchurch Airport and two city factories.
