KHRUSHCHEV’S TOUR
Six Cities To Be Visited
(Rec. 11 p.m.) WASHINGTON, August 22.
The Soviet Prime Minister (Mr Khrushchev) will begin his tour of the United States in Washington on September 15, and end it in Washington on September 27, the White House announced today. Mr Khrushchev will visit six cities—Washington, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Des Moines (Iowa) and Pittsburgh. He will be accompanied by the United States Ambassador to the United Nations (Mr Henry Cabot Lodge). It is expected that the talks President Eisenhower will have with Mr Khrushchev will take place aftei the Soviet leader’s coast-to-coast trip, perhaps at the Presidential retreat at Camp David, Maryland.
