Clash With Rugby Avoided
(New Zealana Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 21.
The Taranaki Jockey Club has been granted permission by the New Zealand Racing Conference to hold on October 10 the meeting which was scheduled to be held on August 15.
The Taranaki club vacated the latter date to allow it to be used by the Taranaki Hunt Club, as that club felt it would be unwise to race tomorrow In competition with the Wellington-Taranaki Ranfurly Shield match.
