Electrical Engineering Bursaries at the University will be offered in 1960 by the Post and Telegraph Department. The bursaries lead to careers in radio, telephone, telegraph, and electrical engineering. They are open to pupils leaving postprimary schools and also to undergraduates who have completed the whole or part of the Intermediate, or the First, or the Second Professional Examinations of the Bachelor of Engineering Degree. University Entrance is the minimum qualification for applicants. Bursaries will be for full-time study to complete the B.E. (Electrical Degree). Post-graduate study may be considered in special cases. Bursars will receive: 1— Living allowange. (a) £ll5 for the University year if living at home; (b) £475 for the University year if living away from home. 2 Tuition fees. 3 Book grant. 4 Certain travelling expenses. 5 Long vacation work at normal salary rates. Further information may be obtained from the Engineer-in-Chief’s Office, Third Floor, General Post Office, Wellington, Telephone 70-889, or from any Post Office District Engineer.
