Price 2/9 each. 3789 UNIVERSITY OF NEW ZEALAND GENERAL COURT OF CONVOCATION PURSUANT to The New Zealand University Act, 1926, an election of five (5) members of Senate by members of the General Court of Convocation will be held on WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 7, 1959. This is the statutory triennial election, and the term of office will be three years, viz., from January 1, 1960, to December 31, 1962. The Registers of the District Courts of Convocation will be closed as from 5 p.m. on WEDNESDAY. SEPTEMBER 2, 1959. NOMINATIONS will close at the University Office, Wellington, at 5 g.m. on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMER 9, 1959. Nomination papers may be obtained from the Registrar of any Constitutent Institution or of the University of New Zealand. The attention of nominees is directed to the provision, published in the University Calendar, whereby candidates may submit, with their nomination papers, certain information for circulation with the voting papers. Voting papers will be sent to all graduates who voted at the previous Senate election, to all new graduates, to any other graduates who apply for reinstatement before the registers are closed, and to every other person who is for the time being a professor, or a graduate full-time member, on the staff of a constituent institution or of the Massey Agricultural College or of the Canterbury- Agricultural College. The poll will close at, and the election proceed after 5 p.m. on WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 7, 1959.
