Wairakei Road

Sir,- The disrepair into which Wairakei road has fallen is scandalous and motorists brave enough to use this “highway” are in dire danger of damaging their vehicles severely. The condition of the road has passed from that of a cattle track to that of a sticky, smelly morass and this has not been remedied by punitive attempts with heaps of bitumen.
