Kaikoura Electricity
Sir, —l read with interest “Tired but Happy Too” on charges for electricity' by the Kaikoura County Council. It is unfair to compare these charges with Christchurch supply, when one thinks of the colossal expenditure on supply lines to Kaikoura. The North Canterbury Electric - powei Board's charge for domestic power is Gd a unit for the first 72, 3d for the next 288, and thereafter so the 200 units quoted would cost £3 Bs, and cheap at that, considering what a difference it. has made to our lives —Yours, etc., CHEVIOT CONSUMER.
