Badminton TENTH ROUND RESULTS
Avonside Leads In A Reserve
With one round to be played in the Canterbury Badminton Association's A reserve competition, Avonside leads in the grade with 4 points. Railway and Olympic have each 3 points. Avonside’s only loss was to Railway in the first round, but this defeat was avenged in a fourthround meeting. In the final round next week, Avonside plays Olympic and Railway plays University. Three teams, Beresford. Railway A. and Knox are equal in the B grade competition with 8 points after 10 rounds, with three to play This competition is still very open as Latimer and Christchurch each have 7 points, and Kaiapoi. Selwyn, Avonside and Army have 6 each. After 10 rounds in the C grade Central (9 points) and Wesley (8 points) are the leaders. Central's one loss was in the first round to Wesley. Following these two teams are St. Pauls and New Brighton, with 7 points each, and University with 6'i points. There are three rounds to play. Railway is unbeaten with 10 points in the D grade, and leads from University (9) and Army (8). University's one loss was to Railway and Army lost to both these teams There is only one round for play m this grade. Ashgrove B is the only unbeaten side in the president’s grade with 7 points and is followed by Ashgrove A with 6. with three rounds to play Results in the tenth round were:— A Reserve Grade.—Avonside 7 University 1; Olympic 6, Railway 3 B Grade.—Christchurch 174, KaiaRail "ay A 14. St. Peters 6: Burnham 10 Technical 6; Selwyn 11. Rangiora 5; Central 12, Railway 4; Teachers' College 10. Avonside 6; University 11. Wesley 5: St. Pauls 9. New Brighton „ *1 Grade.—Technical 13, St. James 3; St. Pauls 9. New Brighton 7. D Grade.—Technical 13, St. James 3; Canterbury 11. New Brighton 5 Beresford 14. Selwyn 2; University 11, Army 5; Railway 11, Lane Walker. Rudkin 5; St. Pauls beat Teachers’ College by default. I Presidents’ Grade—Ashgrove B 13, I Canterbury 2, Ashgrove A 10, SelI wyn 5.
