MOSS WINS RACE IN FRANCE
N.Z. Driver Third (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) PARIS. Julj 26. Stirling Moss, driving a Cooper-Borgward, won the big race at Clermont-Ferrand today said British United Press. But the race was marred by the crashes of two British drivers, Ivor Bueb and Eruce Halford. Both are in hospital. Moss covered the 26 laps at an average of 76.72if1p.h. The New zSßinder, Bruce McLaren, driving a CooperClimax, was third. Bueb driving a Cooper hurtled into a ditch and was rushed to hospital in Claremont-Ferrand with several fractured ribs. Halford suffered a fractured pelvis when his Lotus crashed into a roadside barrier.
