With both teams playing bright, open basketball, play reached a very high standard. Some very fine passing movements were nullified by good guarding, with B. Rollinson finding the basket with good shots Otautahi was trying desperately to find the ring with many attempts. P. Edmonds scored the only points for Otautahi with two fine shots, but could not score with later attempts. Both teams appeared to tire in the second half and passing deteriorated for a while.

Neither team could score and frequently lost control with wild passing P. Hillier scored the only basket in the second half to take the final score to 13-4 in Overlanders' favour. Scoiers for Overlanders were L. Fitzgerald <6), B. Rollinson (4), P. Hillier (2). M. Murray (1), P. Edmonds scored four points for Otautahi. Teachers’ College v. University In a game played at a fast pace throughout, Teachers' College showed better combination to beat University 24-4 University seemed unable to cope witn the speed of the game, and frequently lost possession of the ball without attempting a shot. Watson playing a much improved pivot game and feeding the ball well to forwards. A. Struthers and M. Curtis. College quickly took the lead. Some verv good passing movements culminated in goals and College had little difficulty in taking the final score to 24-4
