BUS TRIP CARDS POPULAR
Time Restrictions Removed Trip cards on Christchurch buses have become more popular since time limit restrictions were lifted for an experimental period so the Christchurch Transport Board is to continue the scheme indefinitely. This was decided at a meeting of the board yesterday afternoon. Mr H. E. Denton said he was very pleased to see a £943 in crease in board revenue over the last four- weeks Half of this came from the increased sale .of trip cards. Taking the time limit oft the trip cards had “popularised the buses." he said A move by Mi W S MacGibbon to have a report on the experimental period prepared by the management before allowing indefinite lifting of the time limit restriction was lost. In the four weeks to June 21 this year the board sold 17,523 more trip cards than in the same four weeks last year.
