ROAD TOLL AT WANGANUI
Two Persons Dead 12 Injured (New Zeaiana Press Association) WANGANUI, July 19. Wanganui’s good record was marred this week-end when four accidents were reported. One person was killed and 12 others injured. Another person, injured in art accident on Friday, died in W’anganui Hospital this morning. She was: Mrs E. H. B. Waterson, aged 62. Mrs Waterson was admitted with interna] injuries and shock, after the car in which she was travelling back to her home in Apiti, rolled 200 ft over the Whangaehu hill. A youth was killed Instantly when the car which he was driving was involved in a collision with a taxi at 10.50 p.m. on Saturday. He was: George Park, aged 19, of 26 Gonvine avenue, Wanganui The wave of accidents began last evening at 7.5 p.m. when Mrs M. L. Harris, of . 74 Jellicoe street, suffered head injuries and shock when she was knocked down by a car while crossing the intersection. All the accidents involved motor vehicles and 10 of the injured were between the ages of 15 and 20.
