Bowler No-Balled For Throwing
(N.Z Press Association— -Copyright) , LONDON, July 18 John Aldridge, Worcestershire's 24-year-old fast-medium bowler, was today no-balled for throwing in the match with Leicestershire. Mr Sid Buller, the test umpire who will officiate in the fourth test at Manchester next Thursday, thrice calltd Aldridge for throwing from square leg. Mr Buller also no-balled Derek Pearson, another Worcestershire fast bowler, for throwing, five times on the first day of the opening match of the Indian tour.
Recently the M.C.C. wrote to all umpires reminding them not to relax their vigilance on this- matter, ind thia week the subject of throwing and jerking wag discussed by the Imperial Cricket Conference.
