Decimal Coinage
Sir,—l read with interest the article on South Africa’s new decimal coinage system and the subsequent letters by "W.W.5.." “Britannicus” and Mr Baird. Though born here, I still feel sorry for the bank teller and his needlessly complicated tasks in this country. In Canada the coinage is: 1,5, 10, 25. 50 cent pieces; with 1. 2,5, 10, 20 and so on dollar bills (or notes)—all the same, size but of different and distinguishlng colours—Which ■ the WUs are'Tthe lame? (Ereen) colour. is recent—Yours,-ete., CEDRIC BARKER. . Auckland, July 13, 1959.
