Youth Farm Training
Sir,—l was pleased to read that the Canterbury Youth Farm Advisory Council is to continue its training scheme. The Rangiora High School’s withdrawal from the scheme will be more gain than loss. The school is completely incompetent under its present management to give practical training to students attending there. Farmers whose sons have attended the school have said that their boys would have learnt far more at home than on the school farm. It will now be seen which farmers have the scheme at heart by accepting raw cadets,.and who have used the council as an employment bureau. —Yours, etc., J. C. RICE. Teddington, July 16, 1959.
